Grand Park has just opened up and is definitely a Los Angeles destination. The project has been on the works for years now, but the recent unveiling has been nothing but good to a downtown area that has been aching for open and green space. This is specially significant today because the population of Los Angeles Downtown area has been changing so much in the past decade. With younger and more affluent residents, things are changing for the better here.
The similitude with New York's Central Park are obvious, but in an era where citys are pushing for more open space that encourages activity and the environment, there will be many more parks such as this one popping up.
